We are mentioning a few of them in the following description.
1: Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) - Incident Of Muharram
Whenever someone talks about patience the personality of Hazrat Hussain (R.A) (grandson of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W)) comes into our minds. Wallahi, no one has set this level of exemplary Sabar in Islam. He is declared as the greatest Sabir in Islam by the Islamic scholars.
The incident of Karbala is known for his patience.
The caliph Yazid, wanted to become the King of the Umayyad Dynasty. He wanted to assert his authority by false deeds. He sent his soldiers from his army to bring Hazrat Husain (A.S). To avoid conflict in the sacred place of Madinah, Hazrat Hussain (A.S) decided to go to his palace by himself. When he reached there after traveling miles in the hot sand of Arab dunes along with his family, Yazid deceived him. Hazrat Hussain (R.A) did not come with the intention of fighting. He comes along with his family including infants and women.
To cut the story short, all the members of Hazrat Hussain’s family except a few ladies and Hazrat Imam Zain ul Aabideen (R.A), were brutally massacred by Yazid’s army. Hazrat Hussain (R.A) sacrifices his life for the survival of Islam. He went through extreme levels of untold feelings of sorrow and pain in the month of Muharram. Though, he never said a word of despair. He (R.A.) is a true picture of the verse inna lillahi ma sabireen.
2: Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (S.A.W) - Incident of Ta'if
Our beloved Prophet (S.A.W) has left a guideline for all of us that connects us with Allah. He, indeed shows the true picture of this verse ‘inna lillahi ma sabireen’ by His actions. Once, He went to a valley that lies between two massive mountains named Ta’if. He came here to preach Islam. The people of Ta’if behaved extremely badly with the Prophet (S.A.W). They threw stones at him until he bled. His shoes were full of blood when he returned from that valley.
After watching this immense scenario, Hazrat Jibrael (A.S) came to the Prophet and said,
‘’Oh My Dear Muhammad, the Prophet of Allah, Will you allow me to crush these people in between these two mountains and reshape this place into an uninhabited place’’.
The Prophet replied with teary eyes that,
‘’They do not know me actually, they even don’t know that I am the messenger of Allah. Once they know – they will regret for this day’’. After this, He (S.A.W) raised his hands and prayed for the betterment of the people of Taif’’
Imagine the level of trust and belief in the verse ‘Innallaha ma sabrin’ that he possesses to seek Allah’s attributes.
3: Hazrat Maryam (A.S)- Incident of Birth of Hazrat Isa (A.S)
Hazrat Maryam (A.S) was a noble lady and a complete personality of ‘’piousness’’. She was blamed for the filthy act of ‘adultery’. This all happens when she goes to the woods for her daily routine tasks. At that time, she felt severe pain i.e. labour pain in her body. She suddenly sat under the tree and started crying with pain but she believed in the power of inna allah ma as sabireen. Just imagine that in this modern age of technology of medical, women still feel a lot of pain while giving birth to a child even after taking pills and injections.
And Hazrat Maryam (A.S) at such a young age gets birth pain – with no medical facilities. She gave birth to Hazrat Isa (A.S) under a tree.
After this people accused him of wrong titles on her character. She went through multiple pains like physical pains and mental strain at the same time. She didn’t speak a word against those people.
She just looks at Her son by pointing her finger towards Him and miraculously Hazrat Isa (A.S) starts speaking in favor of his mother by the commands of Allah.
‘’No doubt, I am the servant of Allah, He has given me a scripture and made me a prophet’’
[Al-Quran -19:30]
